How to clean the hydraulic system

The hydraulic system will be polluted during manufacturing, testing, use and storage. Cleaning is an important means to remove the pollution and keep the hydraulic oil, hydraulic components and pipes clean. In production, hydraulic system cleaning usually includes main system cleaning and whole system cleaning. The whole system cleaning refers to the cleaning of the whole circuit of the hydraulic device. Before cleaning, the system should be restored to the actual operating state.

Hydraulic oil can be used as the cleaning medium. The cleaning time is generally 2-4 hours, and in special cases, it does not exceed 10 hours. The cleaning effect is based on the absence of impurities on the circuit filter screen.

Precautions during cleaning:

1. Generally, the hydraulic oil or test oil used for work is usually used for cleaning the hydraulic system. Do not use kerosene, gasoline, alcohol, steam or other liquids to prevent corrosion of hydraulic components, pipelines, oil tanks and seals;

2. During the cleaning process, the hydraulic pump runs and the cleaning medium is heated simultaneously. When the temperature of the cleaning oil is (50-80) ℃, the rubber residue in the system can be easily removed;

3. During the cleaning process, non-metallic hammer can be used to knock the oil pipe, either continuously or discontinuously, to facilitate the removal of attachments in the pipe;

4. Intermittent operation of hydraulic pump is beneficial to improve cleaning effect, and the interval time is generally (10-30) min;

5. Filter or filter screen shall be installed on the circuit for cleaning oil circuit. At the beginning of cleaning, 80 mesh filter screen can be used because of many impurities, and 150 mesh filter screen will be used later;

6. The cleaning time is generally (48-60) hours, which should be determined according to the complexity of the system, filtering accuracy requirements, pollution level and other factors;

7. In order to prevent corrosion caused by external moisture, the hydraulic pump shall continue to operate until the temperature returns to normal after cleaning;
